Wilton’s Music Hall
Wilton’s Music Hall is the oldest grand music hall in the world – and among the last to survive. First established in 1859 it entertained 1,500 people a night for nearly 30 years. Champagne Charlie performed at Wilton’s, just one of the many entertainers to tread the boards here.
Since it’s heyday the building has been used for many things, including a Methodist Mission, but now the music and laughter have returned. The Hall is crumbling, but exudes a faded beauty which has earned it many fans.
