The 54th BFI London Film Festival opens on Wednesday, bringing the world’s best new films to London.  There are still plenty of tickets left, so check out the listings.  This year’s strands include New British Cinema, Experimenta (including Nine Muses, pictured), World Cinema and Treasures from the Archives.  On the documentary front, there’s a chance to see the latest from Kim Longinotto, Pink Saris, a music doc about 70’s band Mott the Hoople, and Fire in Babylon, about the golden age of West Indian Cricket.

You can also get tickets for more popular screenings on the day, which go on sale 30 minutes before the screening – but you may need to queue early!
