This year, the Chinese new year falls on 3rd February and waves in a year of the rabbit.  The new year is associated with visiting friends, cleaning the house and giving money in red envelopes as well as feasting and firecrackers!  London will be celebrating the event on 6th February with modern and traditional entertainment in Trafalgar Square, including dancing dragons, music, acrobatics and fireworks.  Chinatown and Shaftesbury Avenue will also be joining the party with decorations and lots of great food.
