Films on Fridges

Pop-ups are all the rage, so why not have a pop-up cinema showing films on old fridge doors?  Especially when the cinema is close to the site of the what used to be the infamous Hackney Fridge Mountain of discarded fridges, but which is now the Olympic Aquatic Centre?

Films on Fridges is running until 13th August and screening sports-themed movies to link with the new olympic site, whilst also connecting to Hackney’s industrial past and opening our eyes to the amount of re-usable metal in an old fridge.  There are still tickets for ‘Slapshot’ with Paul Newman, an old Schwarzenegger classic ‘Pumping Iron’ and Olympic movie ‘Chariots of Fire’.
