The Somnambulist by Essie Fox

If you like a slice of Victorian Gothic, then Essie Fox’s novel ‘The Somnabulist’ is for you.  Essie is also known as the blogger the Virtual Victorian, and her first novel uses her knowledge of victorians and victorian London to devastating effect.  The book begins with the narrator Phoebe Turner’s visit to a Hidden London favourite, Wilton’s Music Hall.  From there, Phoebe begins a journey to unlock a family closet full of love, murder and madness.
