Enchanted Forests and Second Hand Secrets at Foyles

Time to hurry down to a Hidden London favourite for a couple of lovely exhibitions.  Foyles bookshop on Charing Cross Road is celebrating 200 years of Grimm’s Fairy Tales with ‘The Enchanted Forest’, an exhibition of artwork which re-discovers the well known and the lesser known tales from the great storytellers.  Also currently showing is an exhibition which examines the secret history of second hand books.  After years of buying second-hand books, writer Wayne Gooderham began to notice he was accumulating an intriguing sub-collection: personal messages inscribed in the books, with each and every scribble and scrawl telling a different story. The very best examples from his collection and can be seen in a special exhibition in the Café at Foyles.

The Enchanted Forest ends 7th December
The Secret History of Second-Hand Books ends 13th December

Foyles, 113-119 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0EB
