Ghost Signs at the St Bride Library

No, not signs of the supernatural, but the ghostly remains of advertising signs painted straight onto the brickwork on the sides of buildings. Most of the signs are now more than a hundred years old, and have become a passion for Sam Roberts, who has been creating a photographic archive of the signs on his blog since 2007.

On Wednesday 20th November, Sam will be speaking about the project at St Bride Library, itself a gem, specialising in works relating to printing in all its manifestations.
