Celebrate Norouz This Weekend

norousNorouz is beginning of the Persian new year and this year the Victoria and Albert Museum is celebrating with a day of music, poetry, storytelling and more, including crafts to join in with and dance to watch.

Norouz (which can be spelt any number of ways) is observed by people and communities of many different backgrounds and marks the first day of Spring.  Having originated in ancient Persia, it is a now a secular holiday for most, but it remains a holy day for Zoroastrians.

Norouz at the V&A 22nd March 2015, 12 – 5pm, Free.
